Matthew Chalmers is a Toronto-based composer with 20 years of experience in film score,
arrangement, and live performance. Born in tune to two music teachers, he spent his adolescence
winning worldwide drumming contests and scholarships before attending the internationally
renowned Humber College music program. From there, he would learn professional proficiency
in numerous instruments, leading him to both record and tour with multiple Grammy winning
musicians. Not tied to any specific genre, Matthew would hone his talents further through
scoring and arranging commercials, television shows, games, and films. Currently, he is the
composer for the Warframe video game franchise (with over 30M online players) and its ever
updating catalogue. Other notable work includes the TIFF standout Once Were Brothers: Robbie
Robertson and The Band (produced by Martin Scorcese and Ron Howard), the feature film
Going In (official motion picture score available across streaming) and popular CBS shows
Hawaii Five-0, MacGyver, and Magnum PI (with Keith Power). Operating out of his own
personal studio, Matthew continues to push boundaries by helming experimental feature film
scores, consequential documentaries, and other exciting new music projects.
