Cole graduated from the prestigious Jazz Studies program at USC Thornton in 2009, while Artadi received her Bachelors in Jazz Studies from CSU Northridge and pursued post-graduate studies at CSU Long Beach.

The duo began their journey by uploading their music to YouTube in early 2010, quickly gaining popularity with their unique blend of heavy funk grooves and electro-funk sound. Their debut album, Louis Cole and Genevieve Artadi, was released the same year. Knower has since released four more albums: Think Thoughts (2011), Let Go (2013), Life (2016), and Knower Forever (2023). Each album showcases the duo's evolving sound and collaborations with various artists, such as Pomplamoose and Snarky Puppy.

Knower's music has been featured in various media, including the video game Grand Theft Auto V. The duo has toured extensively across the United States, Europe, Asia, and South America, captivating audiences with their live performances. In addition to their duo performances, Knower has formed a 5-piece live band featuring renowned musicians like Tim Lefebvre, Jonah Nilsson, and Nate Wood.

Throughout their career, Knower has had the opportunity to collaborate with numerous artists and ensembles. In 2017, they opened for the Red Hot Chili Peppers in four major European cities and have performed with the Norrbotten Big Band of Sweden and the WDR Big Band. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Knower continued to create and share their music, releasing a "living room power set" on their YouTube channel in 2020. With a growing global audience and a dedication to pushing the boundaries of electronic and funk music, Knower remains a driving force in the independent music scene.
