Chart Info
This arrangement is marked as a dual-purpose SSA and SAB chart, because the ranges should work well for both types of groups, although the sheet music is marked as SSA. SAB groups should assign the altos to the written soprano 2 part, and the baritones to the written alto part.
Matthew Chalmers' arrangement of this great Crosby, Stills and Nash song stays faithful to the original recording, while carefully handling chords in a way that vocal jazz groups and choirs will find easy to sing, particularly with the aid of our Vocal Part Tracks and other tracks. The song tells the story of two people who seem to be destined to be in love, but things just haven't worked out yet. Thankfully, Stills' beautiful metaphorical lyric does a much better job at telling this story than my summary does. A chord-symbols-only chart is included for an acoustic guitarist, for groups who would like to go for the real CSN sound, however a pianist capable of realizing chord changes could accompany your choir just as well.
